Councilwoman Rita Days has consistently worked to bring investment, opportunity, and infrastructure improvements to the communities she serves. Her leadership has helped drive meaningful progress across economic development, housing, healthcare, and public infrastructure.

Economic Development & Investment

  • Secured ARPA funding to support the Refuge and Restoration Marketplace at Springwood Shopping Place, bringing new life to a key commercial corridor

  • Supported the development of the Costco Business Center in St. John, creating jobs and expanding retail access

  • Advanced the Marketplace development at Olive & I-170, anchored by Costco, strengthening regional economic growth

  • Advocated for the construction of a new Preferred Health Clinic in Jennings, expanding access to quality healthcare services

Housing & Community Development

  • Championed two new single-family housing developments in Wellston, increasing homeownership opportunities

  • Supported workforce housing development at North Metro Station, connecting residents to transit and jobs

  • Backed single-family housing development by Kittle Properties on Hanley Road

  • Worked to support the Urban League senior housing development in Dellwood, providing safe and affordable housing for seniors

Education & Workforce Investment

  • Secured $10 million dollars to support for the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) South Campus expansion, strengthening higher education and workforce pathways

  • Supported the development of a union training facility in Wellston, creating career pipelines and job training opportunities

Infrastructure & Transportation Improvements

  • Worked with the Missouri Department of Transportation to complete the Great Streets project on Natural Bridge in Northwoods and Pine Lawn

  • Advanced the West Florissant Great Streets Initiative, improving safety, accessibility, and corridor development

  • Delivered Hanley Road improvements, including resurfacing, new sidewalks, and ADA-compliant curb cuts to enhance accessibility

Parks & Recreation

  • Supported the redesign and renovation of the Normandy Golf Course, revitalizing a key community asset and recreational space
